Welcome 2020! What is the Ideal Version Of Yourself?

Hello 2020, it’s lovely to meet you!
I hope you all had an enjoyable and safe holiday with your friends and family.

I love the new year because it’s all about setting new intentions towards your own original personal growth and development. This month is a perfect opportunity to spend time re-evaluating and polishing who you want to be in this stage of your life.

I typically ask my patients about their unique goals and hopes as we enter the new year. Some people have a very clear vision, while others look at me like I’m crazy when I ask this question. Both are very common and both I can work with. When it comes to the topic of goal-setting, everyone has a unique path with no expiry date.

In my practice experience, I can honestly say that when people know why they are in my office, they tend to receive the information better and passionately act on it after they leave. Opening the door to identifying your “why” is essential and is a key step in your progress.

Fact; growth takes time. A one-week transformation is not realistic. A month of exercising gratitude is not all it takes. Growth comes from many self-actualizing practices strung together so we can get to know the deeper version of who we are. Assuming that we are always working toward the greatest version of ourselves, we should be the smartest, most experienced, most actualized version of ourselves the day we die.

My goal for you this year is to help you move closer to the ideal version of yourself, especially in the realm of health. I would love for you to answer these questions (and bring them to your next appointment):

  1. Who are you today?
  2. Who are you as the healthier, deeper, more evolved, more experienced version of you?
  3. Why do you want to be this person? How will you feel? What will you be able to do that you can’t do now?
  4. What limiting beliefs do you have?
  5. What obstacles prevent you from being this person right now?
  6. What steps will you need to take to move towards this healthier version of you?
