31 Jan Pub Grub At Home; The Ultimate Honey Garlic Chicken Drumsticks

This year for Super Bowl and the Olympics, make your own pub grub with these honey garlic chicken drumsticks. We came up with the ultimate dry rub and combined it with a honey garlic glaze — and my mouth is watering thinking about them!
Ingredients:
Chicken and dry rub:
- pack of five chicken drumsticks
- ¼ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp raw sugar

Drumstick honey garlic coating:
- 1 garlic clove, chopped finely
- few dashes of soy sauce (keep in mind, they aren’t all gluten free) or coconut aminos
- 1 tbsp liquid honey
Ranch dipping sauce:
- 1 cup plain, unsweetened yogurt or coconut yogurt
- ¾ tsp apple cider vinegar
- ½ tsp finely chopped green onion
- 1 tsp freshly chopped parsley
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions:
- Cut around the top of the bone and remove the skin. As best as possible, remove any tendons. We used the “place knife on tendon and pull meat away” method. Pull the meat down the bone to form a lollipop.
- In the same bowl, mix the onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, cumin, dried oregano and raw sugar. If you want to make them spicy, add ½ a tsp of cayenne pepper or chilli powder.
- Rub/coat chicken well with the mixture.
- Bake upright in a sheet pan or cast iron pan at 400 degrees fahrenheit for roughly 30 minutes or until cooked and crispy.
- In a small bowl, combine ingredients for the honey garlic coating.
- Drench each drumstick with the honey garlic coating. Great alternatives, if you are not a fan of honey garlic are barbecue sauce (such as dad’s) or hot sauce.
- I love having choice, so we make all 3 and sample- then we decide on our favourites!
- Put back in the oven to glaze for 5 minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine the ingredients for the ranch dipping sauce and stir well. Serve the ranch dipping sauce on the side, Don’t forget
to add carrot and celery sticks.
YUMMY!
